Human Rights, Ethics and Equality Policy

Apollo Accreditation

Version 1. Effective 31 July 2026. Next review 31 July 2027. Apollo Accreditation is a trading name of Auren Institute.

1. Commitment

We respect human rights in our own operations and we expect the same from the organisations we work with. We support the principles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the core conventions of the International Labour Organization.

2. Equality in our own organisation

We do not discriminate on the basis of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation, nor on any other characteristic protected in Malta or the United Kingdom.

This applies to recruitment, engagement of subcontractors, pay, development and the ending of any working relationship.

3. Equality in what we design

Curriculum and assessment design carries equality risk. Assessment that measures something other than the learning outcome, for example reading speed or cultural familiarity, disadvantages learners unfairly and weakens the qualification.

We design assessment against the stated learning outcome, we build in reasonable adjustment from the outset rather than as an afterthought, and we flag material that would exclude a learner group without good reason.

4. Accessibility

We design programmes so that reasonable adjustments are possible without redesigning the assessment. Where a client's existing programme cannot accommodate adjustment, we say so.

5. Modern slavery and labour standards

We do not tolerate forced labour, child labour or human trafficking in our operations or our supply chain. Our supply chain is small and consists mainly of professional subcontractors and software, and we check it on that basis.

6. Working with others

We reserve the right to decline or end an engagement where an organisation's conduct is incompatible with this policy.

7. Raising a concern

Concerns can be raised at info@apolloaccreditation.com and are handled under our complaints and appeals policy. We do not retaliate against anyone who raises one in good faith.
