Short answer

This estimator adds up the fees a regulator or awarding body publishes for the route you choose: MFHEA's licence and per-credit programme fees in Malta, or the centre, endorsement and approval fees of UK awarding bodies. It shows only those official fees. Preparing the application, our own fees, travel, company set-up and per-learner charges are not in the total, and the panel beside your estimate lists them so you can budget for them.

The estimator

Build your fee estimate

1. Provider licence
2. Programmes

Figures are the body's own published fees, checked in October 2026, before VAT where the list says so. They change, so confirm with the body before you budget.

    Where the figures come from

MFHEA figures are from its fee structure for provider licensing, in force since 1 January 2024, and for programme accreditation, in force since 1 September 2023. The programme fee is worked out credit by credit, the way MFHEA bills it, and has a minimum of 100 euro. UK figures are from each awarding organisation's fee list for 2026 or 2026 to 2027, and from Ofqual and the Office for Students.

Where a body does not publish a price, as with SCQF credit rating, the estimator says so and leaves it out of the total. It never fills the gap with a guess.

This is an estimate of published fees, not a quotation from any regulator or from us. The body's invoice is the figure that counts, and only the body can approve an application.

    Common questions

Does the estimate include your fees?

No. It shows only what the regulator or awarding body charges. Our fees for preparing and managing the application are on the packages page, and we put everything in one written quote after a scoping call.

Why is SCQF credit rating not in the total?

Because no credit rating body publishes a price. Each one quotes on enquiry, so the estimator shows it as a line to confirm rather than inventing a number.

Do I need my own MFHEA licence?

Not always. A licensed institute can put your programme through under its own licence, so you pay the programme fee but no licence fees. That only works for the levels the institute is licensed for.

Are the fees charged in euro or pounds?

MFHEA charges in euro and UK bodies charge in pounds, so the estimate is worked out in that currency. If you pick another currency in the currency menu, the estimator also shows an approximate figure at the day's market rate. The rate will have moved by the time the invoice comes, so use it as a rough guide.
