About Apollo Accreditation
What does Apollo Accreditation do?
Apollo Accreditation is a consultancy with three services: course development, CPD Certification and qualifications accreditation, with quality assurance built into the last two. In Malta we run MFHEA accreditation from start to finish. In the four UK nations, where the regulators (Ofqual, Qualifications Wales, CCEA Regulation and Qualifications Scotland) recognise awarding organisations rather than individual providers, we build the qualification and its evidence and take it through a recognised awarding organisation. We also prepare courses for independent CPD certification bodies. We are not a regulator or an awarding organisation and we do not award qualifications ourselves.
Is Apollo Accreditation a regulator or an awarding organisation?
No. We are a consultancy. We build courses and qualifications and manage submissions through the recognised bodies, but we do not regulate qualifications or award them ourselves.
Where is Apollo Accreditation based?
In Malta, registered as company P1389 with VAT number MT20715508, with a United Kingdom office in East Kilbride. We work across the four UK nations and the EU.
How do I get started?
Book a 30 minute scoping call, or send an enquiry from our contact page with a short note on your programme and the recognition you are aiming for. You can also email info@apolloaccreditation.com or call +356 9999 1039. We will map the route and the standards that apply, with no preparation needed on your side. If you would rather read first, start with the guides.
Course Development
Can you build a course for our business from scratch?
Yes. Building bespoke courses for employers and training centres is where most engagements with us start. You tell us the outcome you want and who it is for, a single role, a team or the whole company, and we design and build the course to that need, as self-paced eLearning, live or virtual sessions, or a blend. We build with our own technology and an industry expert from your sector, then host it on our learning management system or deploy it onto yours. If you later want the learning recognised, the same course can go up to accreditation without a rebuild. See course development for how this works.
Can you host the course?
Yes. We can host it on our learning platform or load it onto yours as SCORM or xAPI.
Can you turn our CPD course into a qualification?
Often, yes. Expect real work on the level, the assessment and the size of the programme. A one-day course rarely becomes a qualification without growing.
CPD Certification
Do you certify courses yourselves?
No. Apollo Accreditation is a consultancy. The CPD certification decision is made by the body you choose. We prepare the course, manage the application and run the quality assurance either side of it.
Which CPD body will you use?
The one that suits your course and your market. We set out the options with their criteria, fees and renewal terms, and you decide. If we ever have a business link with a body on that list, we tell you before you choose.
Is CPD certification a regulated qualification?
No. CPD certification in the UK has no government regulator, and a certified course does not carry an RQF, SCQF, MQF or EQF level. If you need a formal level, look at Qualifications Accreditation.
How much does it cost?
Two fees are involved. The CPD body charges its own fee, which you pay to the body. Our fee for preparation, submission and quality assurance is quoted in writing after the scoping call, and it includes the first year of maintenance quality assurance.
Qualifications Accreditation
What is MFHEA accreditation?
MFHEA is the Malta Further and Higher Education Authority, the national body that licences providers and accredits programmes in Malta against the Malta Qualifications Framework. We help you prepare provider and programme submissions, map learning outcomes to MQF levels, and meet the authority's quality standards.
Do I need a Maltese company to get accredited in Malta?
In practice, yes. MFHEA licenses providers and accredits programmes in Malta, and that requires a legal entity established in Malta. For a UK or non-EU provider this is usually the whole point rather than an obstacle: a Maltese company holding an MFHEA-accredited programme gives you a qualification with a Malta Qualifications Framework level, referenced to the European Qualifications Framework, issued from inside the European Union and portable to European learners. That is the practical route back into the EU market after Brexit. We set the company up and run it for you, with legal and administrative support delivered alongside licensed Maltese corporate service providers, then take the same programme through accreditation. One route, one point of contact, rather than a company formation agent, an accountant and an accreditation consultant who never speak to each other.
How does accreditation through Malta help a UK provider reach the EU market?
Malta is an EU member state, and the Malta Qualifications Framework (MQF) is referenced to the European Qualifications Framework (EQF), the eight-level scale used across Europe to compare qualifications. When your programme is accredited through MFHEA and rated on the MQF, it carries a level that European employers, regulators and learners can read directly. Since Brexit, a UK RQF or CPD credential no longer sits inside the EU's own system in the same way, so this is a practical route back to European recognition. It concerns the recognition and level of the qualification, not an automatic right to practise a regulated profession, which runs through separate EU rules. We confirm current MFHEA standards with the authority before any submission.
Does a build guarantee approval?
No. Nobody can honestly promise that. We build to the body's published criteria and test the programme against them before submission, which is as close as anyone can get.
Quality assurance
Is quality assurance charged separately?
No. Both rounds are part of our CPD Certification service. The first year of maintenance is in the quote you get after the scoping call.
And if the yearly review turns something up?
We fix it with you before the renewal goes in. If the change is big enough that the CPD body needs to see it, we tell the body first.
