eLearning development, priced for the UK and the EU

Apollo Accreditation builds self-paced eLearning for training providers in the UK and the EU. We turn the slides you already have into a tracked online module, or write and build an interactive module with you, and both run on your learning platform or on ours.

What is an eLearning module?

An eLearning module is a short online course that a learner works through alone, at their own pace. It sits on a learning platform, records who started and who finished, and checks what they understood along the way. We hand it over as a SCORM or xAPI package. Those are the two common file standards for online courses, and nearly every learning platform accepts at least one of them.

We price eLearning so a small provider can afford it, and a provider anywhere in the UK or the EU can compare it fairly with the larger agencies. We keep costs down by building from our own templates and authoring tools, and by writing the scope down before we start, so neither side gets a surprise invoice.

How much does eLearning development cost?

Show prices in

Prices are shown in euro.

01

Level 1, Convert, from €225

You already have the material: a slide deck, a manual, a recorded session. We turn it into a self-paced module of up to 10 minutes, with a quiz at the end and completion tracking. Up to 15 minutes costs €450, and for €750 it runs up to 20 minutes and adds things to click and drag.

02

Levels 2 to 4, interactive module, from €950

We write it with you and build it. These prices are for up to 20 minutes; up to 30 minutes is quoted. The price goes up with the amount of interaction. Level 2, Standard, has reveals, sorting activities and knowledge checks. Level 3, Scenario, from €1,450, adds workplace scenarios with choices that change what happens next. Level 4, Advanced, from €1,950, adds several branching paths, simulations or video role-play.

03

eLearning series, from €3,450

Four or more interactive modules that share one look, one learning path and one set of assessments. The starting price covers four Standard modules of up to 20 minutes, cheaper per module than buying them one at a time.

One-off prices, excluding VAT. Start with a conversion and upgrade to an interactive module later: we credit what you paid within 90 days. A voiceover, a second language or extra minutes are priced separately. See all eLearning prices.

What goes into an interactive module?

An interactive module starts with a short call about what your learners need to be able to do afterwards. We write those outcomes down and you agree them. Then we draft the script. You read it for accuracy and tone, and nothing gets built until you are happy with it.

For the scenarios we use real situations from your sector: a subject expert from your team, or one of ours, tells us what actually goes wrong at work. In the module, learners pick what to do and see what happens next. A bad choice costs them a few points, not a client. They answer short questions as they go and sit a final assessment with a pass mark you choose.

Captions, image descriptions and keyboard navigation are built in, which helps learners with a disability and anyone watching on a phone with the sound off. We test the finished package on your platform before you sign off, and the price includes two rounds of changes.

Who builds your module?

Your module is made by our own in-house course creation team. The people who agree your outcomes with you are the same people who write the script, design the screens, build the interactions and test the finished package, so nothing gets lost between a sales call and a subcontractor.

We also build on technology we develop ourselves. Our authoring and delivery tools are made in-house, and we keep working on them so a module can do more each time: richer scenarios, new ways for learners to interact, and cleaner tracking on your platform. When we add something new, it is ready for the next module we build for you.

How do we build an eLearning module?

1

Agree the scope

The outcomes, the length, who the learners are and which platform it will run on, with a fixed price in writing.

2

Write the script

We write it and you review it for accuracy and tone.

3

Build

We build the module in our authoring tool and send you a working version you can click through online.

4

Test and hand over

We test it on your platform, fix anything that needs fixing, and hand over the finished package.

Who is eLearning development for?

01

Training providers and academies

Moving a classroom course online, or adding a self-paced option next to a live one.

02

Courses under your own name

Associations, professional bodies, NGOs and businesses that train their members or clients under their own name.

03

Courses heading for recognition

We build to CPD and accreditation standard from the start, so the module can go straight to CPD Certification. We can take it through our CPD-ready step, and the CPD body fee on your first course is free.

Common questions

What is SCORM, and do we need it?

SCORM is a file standard that lets an online course talk to a learning platform, so the platform knows who finished and what they scored. xAPI is a newer standard that can record more detail. If your platform accepts either, we deliver in that format.

Will it work on our learning platform?

Almost certainly. We ask which platform you use at the start and test the module on it before you sign off. If you do not have one, we can host it on ours.

What is the difference between converting and an interactive module?

A conversion uses your existing material and keeps it close to what you sent. An interactive module is written for eLearning from the start, with scenarios and choices, which takes far more work and is why it costs more.

How long does it take?

We agree the dates in writing. As a guide, a conversion takes two to three weeks from when we receive your material, and an interactive module four to six weeks. Most of the difference comes down to how quickly reviews come back.

Who owns the finished module?

You do, once it is paid for. We keep our own templates and tools, and you get a licence to use them inside your module.

Can you add a voiceover or another language?

Yes. Both are priced on our packages page, per module.

Do two or more modules earn bonus credit?

Yes. Converted and interactive modules count towards bonus credit in the same way as our other course builds.

Can we pay in instalments?

Yes. Any project up to 5,000 euro can be paid in three monthly instalments at no extra charge, with the first due when you sign.

What the training is for

From the first day to every day after

Most training needs come at a handful of moments: when someone starts, while they do the job, and when something changes. We build for each of them, and many clients start with one and add the rest.
