Course development, accreditation and quality assurance
Get your courses built, accredited and quality assured.
Apollo Accreditation helps employers, training providers and academies in Malta and the United Kingdom build courses, secure recognised accreditation, and put quality assurance in place that stands up to review. We build bespoke eLearning and live courses for your teams, host them on our learning management system or yours, and, when you want it, take the same course up to accreditation. For UK organisations, accreditation through Malta gives a course a formal, EU-recognised level, a route back into the European market after Brexit.
Free, no preparation needed. We map the route, the standards that apply and the likely timeline.
Track record
Built on real delivery, at scale
Working in course development, accreditation and training since 2010, with hands-on delivery behind every engagement.
What we do
Course development, accreditation and quality assurance
Apollo Accreditation builds training courses and gets them recognised. Most clients start with course development: we build bespoke eLearning and live courses for your teams, using our own technology and industry experts, and host them on our learning management system or deploy them onto yours. From there, when the learning needs formal weight, we prepare and manage accreditation and put the quality assurance in place that keeps recognition once it is granted. We work with all four United Kingdom qualifications regulators, Ofqual in England, Qualifications Wales, CCEA Regulation in Northern Ireland and Qualifications Scotland, alongside MFHEA in Malta and CPD accreditation bodies. We are not a regulator or an awarding organisation and we do not award qualifications ourselves. For UK organisations, accreditation through Malta gives a course an EU-recognised, EQF-referenced level after Brexit.
From entry to advanced
From a single course to a recognised qualification
One relationship across the whole journey. Start where you are, and move up only when it makes sense for you.
Course development
We build bespoke eLearning and live courses for your teams, with our own technology and industry experts, hosted on our LMS or deployed on yours. This is where most engagements begin.
AdvanceAccreditation
When the learning needs to be recognised, we prepare and manage the submission to MFHEA, CPD bodies or the right UK route, from gap analysis through to approval.
SustainQuality assurance
We put internal and external quality assurance, assessment verification and standardisation in place, so recognition holds review after review.
Because we build to the accreditation standard from the start, moving up the ladder is an upgrade, not a rebuild. Many clients only ever want excellent internal training, and that is a complete piece of work on its own.
For UK providers
A recognised route into the EU market
Since Brexit, a UK qualification no longer holds an automatic, current place in the European Union's own qualifications system. Accreditation through Malta puts that back.
Malta is an EU member state, and the Malta Qualifications Framework (MQF) is referenced to the European Qualifications Framework (EQF), the eight-level scale that lets employers, regulators and learners across Europe read a qualification's level at a glance. Accredit your programme through Malta and it carries that level directly.
An EU-recognised level
Your programme is rated on the MQF and, through it, the EQF, so a European buyer or employer can read its level without translation.
Issued from inside the EU
Accreditation sits with a national authority of an EU member state, not a framework the UK has stepped outside of.
Portable to European learners
Learners hold a qualification that travels across the single market, which matters if you sell training into the EU or recruit students from it.
One honest caveat. This is about the recognition and level of your qualification, not an automatic licence to practise a regulated profession. Access to regulated professions such as law, accountancy or healthcare runs through separate EU rules, and we will tell you plainly where your programme sits before you commit.
Services
Everything from a first bespoke course to a fully accredited, quality assured programme, and the Maltese company that EU accreditation needs, delivered as one joined-up service.
Course development (eLearning and live)
We build bespoke courses for employers and training centres, as self-paced eLearning, live or virtual sessions, or blended, using our own technology and industry experts. We host them on our learning management system or deploy them onto yours, for a role, a team or the whole company. This is the entry point, and the same course can go up to accreditation without a rebuild.
Curriculum development
We design programmes, modules and learning outcomes from scratch, or rebuild existing ones, mapped to the right qualification level and credit value.
Accreditation services
We prepare and manage submissions for MFHEA, CPD, Ofqual-regulated routes and other bodies, from gap analysis through to approval.
Quality assurance for L&D
We build internal and external quality assurance, assessment verification, standardisation and self-evaluation that hold up when a regulator or awarding body reviews you.
Qualification framework mapping
We map learning outcomes to MQF, EQF, RQF, CQFW and SCQF levels and credit values, so your provision sits at the level you claim.
Awarding organisation liaison
We position you with the right awarding organisation and manage the relationship, paperwork and evidence on your behalf.
Institutional review and self-assessment
We run readiness reviews and self-assessment reports before a regulator does, so you find the gaps first.
Learning design and content review
We review course design, assessment and digital learning content against accreditation standards and give you a clear action list.
Verification, certification and CPD approval
We set up verification, certification and CPD approval so your learning is recognised, countable and defensible.
Malta company formation and administration
Accreditation in Malta needs a Maltese legal entity. We set the company up and keep it running, with legal and administrative support delivered with licensed Maltese corporate service providers: incorporation, registered office, company secretarial, VAT and tax registration, and ongoing filings. You get one route from company to accredited programme instead of three separate suppliers.
Who we work with
We work with employers building training for their own teams, and with organisations that design, deliver or award learning, and want it built well, recognised and quality assured.
Our learning platform
Strong training needs a strong platform
We build our clients' eLearning on LearnWorlds, so the people taking your training get a modern experience on the web or a branded mobile app, and the people managing it get clear reporting on completion and scores. Host your courses on our platform, run them on yours, or own your own academy on LearnWorlds.
An experience they will use
A clean, modern academy on the web or a branded app, learning at their own pace with video, practice and clear progress.
A view they can trust
Completion, scores and time-on-content by person and team, with the evidence trail compliance needs.
A platform you can own
Keep it on our platform, run it on yours, or build your own academy on LearnWorlds, branded to you.
Accreditation routes at a glance
The routes we work with most, across all four nations of the United Kingdom and in Malta. We help you choose the one that fits your learners, your sector and where you operate.
| Route | Body | Primary jurisdiction | Best suited to | Framework reference |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| MFHEA accreditation | Malta Further and Higher Education Authority | Malta (EU) | Colleges and providers offering accredited, award-bearing programmes in Malta, and UK providers seeking an EU-recognised route after Brexit | Malta Qualifications Framework (MQF), referenced to the EQF |
| CPD accreditation | CPD accreditation bodies | UK and international | Short courses and professional learning counted towards CPD hours | CPD hours, points and certification |
| Ofqual-regulated qualifications | Ofqual, through recognised awarding organisations | England | Regulated qualifications delivered or awarded in England | Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) |
| Qualifications Wales approved and designated qualifications | Qualifications Wales, through recognised awarding bodies | Wales | Qualifications approved or designated for public funding in Wales, and providers delivering to Welsh learners | Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales (CQFW) |
| CCEA-regulated qualifications | CCEA Regulation, the regulatory arm of the Council for the Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment | Northern Ireland | Regulated qualifications offered in Northern Ireland, including cross-border provision with England | Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) |
| Accredited qualifications in Scotland | Qualifications Scotland Accreditation, which replaced SQA Accreditation on 2 December 2025 | Scotland | Qualifications other than university degrees accredited for use in Scotland, including SVQs, and programmes needing an SCQF credit rating | Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) |
The United Kingdom has four qualifications regulators, not one. A qualification regulated in England is not automatically regulated in Wales, Northern Ireland or Scotland, and the frameworks differ. We confirm the current standards and criteria with the relevant authority before we start any submission, and we tell you where a single qualification can be recognised in more than one nation and where it cannot. We also work with other national frameworks and awarding bodies on request.
How it works
A simple four-step path from where you are to a recognised, quality assured programme.

We prepare and manage the submission to the right body, and handle queries through to approval.
Assure
We put ongoing quality assurance in place so your recognition holds, review after review.
Guides
Direct answers to the three questions we are asked most, written from the published criteria of the bodies themselves.
Do you need a Maltese company for MFHEA accreditation?
In most cases yes. MFHEA requires a body corporate registered in Malta and a legal representative based there. The two exceptions, and what the entity involves.
02How a UK provider gets EU recognition after Brexit
What actually changed at Brexit, why Malta is the practical route, and the cases where this route is the wrong answer.
03Is an England-regulated qualification recognised across the UK?
Not automatically. Four regulators, three frameworks, and what Scotland changed on 2 December 2025.
